friends way receives two grants

FRIENDS WAY is the fortunate recipient of two grants from corporations that value the bereavement support the organization provides to children and families as they cope with loss and grief.

The Tufts Health Plan Foundation provided an unsolicited grant of $25,000 to FRIENDS WAY as part of the foundation’s commitment to support non-profit organizations focused on health equity and the social determinants of health.

FRIENDS WAY LauNCHES SPECIALIZED BEREAVEMENT GROUPS

FRIENDS WAY facilitates biweekly sessions in which children teens and young adults share their feelings and reactions to grief in an honest and open way. During the sessions they are also given the opportunity to express themselves through creative activities such as painting, drawing and clay sculpting.

2019 Annual Gala a Success

The 2019 Gala, which celebrated our 20th anniversary, raised $125,325 to benefit Southern New England’s leading bereavement program for children.

 

Play4Kids Raises Critical Funding

Thank you to our sponsors and everyone who participated in the Play4Kids Golf Tournament on September 25, 2018, at the beautiful Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk.

More than $60,000 was rasied for Bradley Hospital and FRIENDS WAY! Proceeds from the tournament will enable us to continue our work in helping children heal.
