Live Webinar via Zoom

FRIENDS WAY invites you to our annual professional development conference. FRIENDS WAY is a unique organization that provides peer support bereavement groups for children and teens who have experienced the death of a significant person in their lives.

Supporting trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming youth to uncover and transform spoken and unspoken messages allows them to reauthor and reclaim their challenging narratives of grief and loss. Participants in this webinar will be able to discuss the impact of intersectional oppression, including transphobia, homophobia, heterosexism, sexism, and racism on the process of mourning, and identify justice-oriented therapeutic modalities for specific populations in community-centered settings . Professionals will be equipped with the tools and resources needed to create spaces that affirm and empower Trans, Non-Binary, and Gender Diverse youth in their journeys through grief.

The presentation will be followed by a panel of community professionals who work closely with the LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults.
